Out client is eager seekig a talented cost accountant that has manufacturing industry experience. This is a direct hire opportunity that is 100% on site. This role comes with benefits. salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Analyze cost reports for raw material, work in process, finished goods inventory, and labor.

• Analyze production job costs throughout the month.

• Analysis of changes in product bill of materials, labor routers and effect on cost.

• Examine and review cost records and ensure cost data accuracy.

• Maintain cost accounting system for parts and equipment.

• Coordinate monthly and annual cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods warehouse.

• Assist Controller with annual plan of inventory needs and controls.

• Complete inventory reconciliations.

• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements

• Execute month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and close of the general ledger

• Prepare various reports as needed for the controller and CFO and other management as needed.

• Special projects as assigned.

• Experience in manufacturing strongly preferred
