Description We are hiring a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Garland, Texas. This role involves handling a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and payroll. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity within the construction industry, with the role being based onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Manage the general ledger, making sure all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Prepare and input journal entries as needed

• Manage the company's payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time

• Use Microsoft Excel and Sage 100 for various accounting tasks

• Assist with budget processes and maintain accurate invoice records

• Participate in insurance renewals as needed

• Conduct account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Assist with month-end close procedures

• Use Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite as part of daily tasks. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Sage 100 is preferred.

• Solid understanding of account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Expertise in bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

• Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately.

• Must be able to handle month-end close activities efficiently and effectively.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Must exhibit a high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
