Job Responsibilities
The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
Maintain basic building and grounds maintenance (outside/inside clean up).
Ability to understand and follow through processes of dangerous chemicals and building requirements that help ensure OSHA/Safety compliance procedures.
Observe all company rules including plant health, safety and environmental rules, for example working through Tyco alarm control panel issues.
This position requires working closely with manufacturing, and engineering for line and/or equipment improvements.
Must be able to work 1st shift, overtime, and Saturdays (at least twice a month – half days) as required, on short notice.
Under limited supervision, will be required to perform minor electrical tasks; replace ballasts, light bulbs, run 110v-240v lines and other minor tasks (Air compressors, service repair and replace lines when needed Repair and replace nitrogen and vacuum lines/pumps and bottle gasses replace and storage), empty chemicals and recyclable materials, carpentry, painting, etc.
Perform minor plumbing including brazing of copper pipes, installing PVC piping, repair leaks, breaks and clogged lines. HVAC trouble shoot, perform carpentry, painting and drywall tasks, lay floor tile, install ceiling tiles. Must be able to diagnose, service, and repair some plant equipment, be able to read and understand engineering and specification control drawings, work around chemicals and be capable of learning hazardous waste operation and EPA standards for hazardous materials.
Need to be able to research parts on the internet and assist senior personnel in determining correct materials and/or equipment required for replacement/repair.

Job Requirements
Typically requires a high school education or equivalent, computer literate, capable of searching for parts on the internet and be familiar with word and excel, work in a team environment, meet all attendance requirements, capable of assisting in completion of City, State and Federal regulatory reports.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role working in a manufacturing assembly or production environment is preferred.
Must be able to read and follow maintenance instructions. Basic computer skills are a necessity.
Must pass a respirator physical, able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment as required.
Be able to work in tight spaces, work in a clean room environment, climb a ladder and lift on routine basis 60-100 pounds, have a valid Texas driver’s license and possess own transportation and be willing to travel to various distributors and vendors to pick up parts, and to purchase supplies. (You will be compensated for travel.)
