Description We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the industrial sector, located in Gardena, California. The role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also monitor customer credit accounts and take action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer inquiries and disputes to ensure customer satisfaction

• Post payments including ACH, checks, and credit card, using SAP

• Deposit checks into the bank in a timely manner

• Collect outstanding receivables

• Review and reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Review and calculate commission for salesmen, and rebates for customers

• Assist with company credit card expenditures posting

• Assist with month-end close processes including bank reconciliation, journal entries posting, and account reconciliation

• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and CPA. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Knowledge of General Ledger functions and procedures.

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries accurately.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Excellent analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments.

• Professional certification, such as a CPA, is a plus.

• Familiarity with industry-specific accounting standards and regulations is desirable.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
