Facilities & Fleet Manager

EAC Networkis a not-for-profit organization that empowers 62,888 individuals in need across Long Island and NYC through 100 programs. We are looking for a full-time Facilities & Fleet Managerto join our administration team and oversee the maintenance of our facilities and vehicle fleet.

Location: Garden City, NYSalary: $40/hour

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMReports to: Chief Operating Officer

Job Overview:

TheFacilities & Fleet Managerwill be responsible for maintaining 30-35 locations across NYC and Long Island, performing hands-on light maintenance tasks, and coordinating more complex facility repairs. The role also manages the organization’s vehicle fleet, ensuring both facilities and vehicles are safe, operational, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Maintenance:

  • Perform minor repairs including HVAC system checks, electrical, plumbing, and general facility tasks.

  • Act as the point of contact for site supervisors and external vendors for all maintenance needs.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all facilities.

  • Coordinate larger repair projects with contractors and building management.

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify areas for improvement.

  • Fleet Management:

  • Implement preventive maintenance programs for vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Manage vehicle registrations and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and inspections.

  • Vendor Coordination:

  • Research and manage relationships with vendors, soliciting bids for repairs and projects when needed.

  • Ensure that all third-party repairs are completed on time and within budget.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of all facility and vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work with internal teams to support their facility and fleet needs.

  • Regularly report to the Chief Operating Officer regarding the status of facilities and vehicles.

  • Other Duties:

  • Additional tasks as assigned to support the overall functionality of the organization.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in facility and fleet management, including hands-on maintenance and preventative care.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.

  • Physical Ability: Capable of performing tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel between multiple locations (NYC and Long Island).

  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
