We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Garden City, New York. This role will focus on processing and maintaining customer applications and records, as well as resolving customer inquiries.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of invoice data accurately and in a timely manner.

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate customer credit records.

• Perform check runs and coding invoices as part of the accounts payable function.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

• Conduct weekly deposits and prepare purchase reports.

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.

• Maintain a high level of understanding and knowledge of credit procedures within the industry.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the role of Accounts Payable Clerk or similar

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Data Entry

• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Ability to work effectively in the Wholesale Distribution industry

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
