Job Description

One of our clients is looking for a GIS Data Analyst to join their team. A GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Data Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing spatial data to support decision-making processes in various fields. This candidate must have experience working within SQL, FME, and be able to manage complex data editing. This candidate will also be working in an enterprise data environment.

Skills and Requirements

Data Collection and Management: Collecting geospatial data from sources like maps, satellite imagery, and surveys. Ensuring data accuracy and organizing it within a GIS database.

Spatial Analysis: Conducting spatial analysis to examine relationships between geographic features and phenomena. Using GIS software to perform tasks such as overlay analysis, proximity analysis, and network analysis.

Map Creation and Visualization: Creating maps and visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner. Producing information products like charts and graphs.

Database Management: Designing and maintaining databases for storing GIS data. Performing quality assurance checks on data.

Technical Support and Training: Providing technical support for GIS software users and training new users on GIS technology.

Project Coordination: Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to determine GIS data requirements and implement GIS projects. null
