What you`ll do

Summary:

The Cross Cloud & Data Engineering (CCDE) Unit within the Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery (GCID) organization is looking for a DevOps Engineer to optimize SAPs cloud infrastructure. A successful candidate will drive continuous improvement and innovation in DevOps methodologies and practices, ensuring the efficient, scalable, and reliable delivery of software. Your work will closely align with the production and core AI development team to provide strong and dependable solutions for SAPs cloud infrastructure and cost efficiency.

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, the focus would be on effective and efficient development for solutions for respective product lines, ensuring delivery according to our quality and compliance standards. You will drive initiatives to automate processes and standardize practices to ensure consistent and reliable software delivery and deployment. Additionally, you will incorporate CI/CD practices early in development to ensure seamless integration. Furthermore, your responsibilities in our AI team will include automating workflows, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with our architect and data scientists to enhance the efficiency and scalability of AI services in the cloud FinOps domain. You will also engage in software solution operation, develop and enhance operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reliability. Continuous learning and growing in new technical areas will be crucial, as will working in agile, cross-functional teams.

What you bring

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies

• Strong expertise in DevOps with 3 years of work experience

• Working experience with Python, Go, and/or Bash

• Experience with CI/CD systems, microservices deployment, and gitops (ArgoCD, Jenkins, Vault)

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Good cloud infrastructure knowledge and understanding of Networking basics and TCP/IP

• Ability to innovatively solve any technical challenges, and strongly collaborate with other team members with a quality-aware mindset

• Fluency in written and spoken English

Nice to haves:

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs, dashboard deployment, UI/UX design

• Knowledge of security aspects is a plus
