Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager responsible for the contract management and successful implementation of multiple projects for various owners. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring professional interactions with owner representatives and project teams. This role requires managing contractual requirements, scope of work, change orders, budgets, plans of action, project schedules, and performance metrics. Timely submission of required paperwork to the management team is essential. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for all contract-related items, maintaining positive communication with owner representatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and overseeing initial project setup and closing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts and implement multiple projects successfully.

  • Communicate professionally with owner representatives regarding all contract-related items.

  • Collaborate with the project team on contractual requirements, scope of work, change orders, budgets, plans of action, project schedules, and performance metrics.

  • Submit required paperwork to the management team on time.

  • Serve as the Owner's primary point of contact for all contract-related items.

  • Ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.

  • Handle initial project setup and closing.

  • Perform project buyout and budgeting of all cost categories, including creating purchase orders, negotiating and writing subcontracts, and providing cost-coded budgets to accounting.

  • Ensure project accounting is updated throughout the project life-cycle and document deviations.

  • Complete project closeout paperwork and document post-mortem analysis of project performance, including as-built.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in environmental field and environmental engineering.

  • Specialization in water resources and soil.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of construction experience, preferably in environmental construction.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera for scheduling.

  • Ability to respond to constantly changing priorities and reorganize tasks efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Field construction experience or skilled trades

  • Experience in environmental or storm water construction is highly desired.

Work Environment

The primary reporting location is in Gambrills, with travel required to various work sites. The typical office atmosphere consists of individual offices, not cubicles. Working conditions will expose the Project Manager to all types of weather conditions and potentially noisy, dirty destinations. Extended periods of walking on various terrains are required. This role offers a hybrid working model, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
