LifePoint Health Sr Medical Technologist PRN in Gallatin, Tennessee
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Performs Senior level functions as assigned by the Laboratory Director.
Reports to: Laboratory Supervisor and Director of Laboratory Services
Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Drag Edit Delete
Collects samples and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities. Collects blood and study blood samples used in transfusions Drag Edit Delete
Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner. Drag Edit Delete
Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards. Drag Edit Delete
Performs automated tests using automated equipment. Drag Edit Delete
Performs manual tests. Drag Edit Delete
Runs tests and analyzes the results to accurately report the results. Drag Edit Delete
Performs Quality Assurance to ensure accuracy of equipment.
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in a laboratory, chemical, biological or physical science - Required

Required Skills Licenses: Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification (ASCP or AMT) or State of Tennessee Medical Technologist Generalist - Required within 12 months of hire or transfer to position Drag Edit Delete
Minimum Work Experience One (1) year experience in a clinical laboratory as a technologist, hospital environment - Preferred
