Assist in the Direction of the L&D, Women's & Nursery Unit's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Organizes and manages the day-to-day and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families. Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in Labor & Delivery, Nursery and/or Post-Partum.
Reports to: Director - Women's Services
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - Required. Associate's degree in Nursing considered with agreement to obtain BSN within agreed upon timeframe Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Certifications: o BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to be current upon hire. o ACLS & NRP certification from American Heart Association or ALS from American Red Cross required within 6 months of employment. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure required. Drag Edit Delete
Minimum Work Experience 2 years clinical nursing experience required in L&D, Women's Services. Management/Leadership experience preferred
