LifePoint Health Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN in Gallatin, Tennessee
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.
Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor
Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures. Drag Edit Delete
Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology. Drag Edit Delete
Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures. Drag Edit Delete
Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation. Drag Edit Delete
Processes the images for radiologist review. Drag Edit Delete

Communicates patient information relative to procedure purpose, description and duration prior to beginning examination. Follows up on patient’s questions in a timely manner,
Minimum Education Certificate, Associates or Bachelor's degree in health related field required by certifying body. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete
Required Skills Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.

Required Skills Licenses: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). New graduates who are registry eligible are welcome and must acquire valid registration within 12 months of hire date.
