Job Title: Monitor Installation Technician
Job Description
Contractors will visit current customer sites to install CO2 monitors onsite. This low voltage work is similar to installing fire alarms in residential settings. The position is available due to new regulations on CO2 monitoring. Responsibilities include installing monitors directly to systems using CAT 5 cabling. The role involves light construction work and requires interacting politely with customers.
Responsibilities
Install CO2 monitors at various customer sites including restaurants and gas stations.
Perform low voltage work similar to residential fire alarm installations.
Use CAT 5 cabling for monitor installations.
Drive to different sites, covering up to 400 miles a week.
Document work using a smartphone for GPS, photos, and mileage tracking.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain the installation process and purpose.
Essential Skills
2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical work.
Experience with low voltage or light electrical installations.
Ability to use a smartphone for GPS, taking photos, and documenting expenses.
Reliable transportation capable of covering 400 miles a week.
Possession of necessary tools and a ladder for the job.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience driving for work purposes is beneficial.

Work Environment
You will work independently, often driving to various customer sites around the Greater Bay Area, including Concord, San Jose, and Napa. The job involves meeting at the shop before heading out to different locations. Work hours are typically from 7am to 3pm, with some days starting as early as 6:30am. Be prepared to work weekends if needed. Documenting your daily activities and locations is crucial for tracking purposes.
