A post-doctoral research position is available to study stem development in sorghum using single cell RNA-seq with the goal to identify and validate regulatory processes that determine cell fate. There is also an expectation to publish the data as peer-reviewed journal articles. A doctorate in plant biology or related field is required, and experience with genomic data analyses, in situ hybridization or in situ PCR, vector construction, sorghum transformation, and genome editing is preferred.

IFAS, one of the nation’s largest agricultural and natural resources research and education organizations, is administered by a Vice President and four deans: the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the Dean for Extension and Director of the Florida Cooperative Extension Service, the Dean for Research and Director of the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station, and the Dean for the College of Veterinary Medicine. Minimum Requirements:
