Job Description:
A Post-doctoral Associate position is available to work on a project on the TOU high-resolution spectrograph and the DHARMA optical telescope with Dr. Jason Dittmann in the Department of Astronomy. This position is available immediately and is open until filled.
We have a position available in our group to work on the development and operation of a high-resolution optical spectrograph on Mt Lemmon in Arizona. We are looking for an individual familiar with the operation of high-resolution spectrographs and developing data pipelines associated with these instruments. This instrument aims to perform radial velocity measurements of exoplanet host star.
The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or Computer Science by the appointment date. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for another year.

Advertised Salary:
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in operation of high-resolution spectrographs and data reduction, radial velocities, and some experience in instrument would be preferred.
