Job Description:
Position specific responsibilities for the Customer Service Representative within the Housing Operations team includes:
Serve as the initial point of contact for current residence, families, and guests answering incoming phone calls, responding to emails or assisting guests resolving any questions or concerns
Assist prospective and current students, families and guests with inquiries regrading different residential facilities, campus resources, and various university locations and services
Assist at University wide events serving as a unit representative promoting the on-campus living experience
Provide tours of on-campus living spaces to prospective residents families and visitors
Assist with resolving customer or resident questions and providing the proper resource if necessary
Respond to inquiries and promote campus life and the UF student experience
Maintain and update area procedures, records, and materials
Other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:
$13.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through Federal Work Study (FWS) or Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of one year customer service experience in professional office setting
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Extensive knowledge of the University of Florida
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills including multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and record keeping
Demonstrate professionalism, dependability and ability to work as a member of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
