Job Description:

Intentionally cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and all (Phillips Center, University Auditorium, Baughman Center) visitors. Ensure accessible, fair, and equitable treatment for everyone in our diverse and valued team.

OPS hourly position averaging approximately twenty to thirty hours weekly.

Work schedule highly variable depending upon event schedule and will require evening and weekend assignments.

Communicate with artists or artist representatives to identify and coordinate in advance hospitality needs.

Prepare event hospitality for artists, crew, donors, and patrons in accordance with performance agreements. Purchase, track inventory and report expenses for all items used on a per event basis. Coordinate any outside artist catering as necessary.

Responsible for coordinating and staffing the sale of artist's merchandise and materials.

Responsible for arranging local and regional transportation in accordance with contract requirements. Perform driving duties to include but not limited to food runs, artist transport, hotel and airport transfers, and outreach activities. Must pass UF fifteen passenger van driving certification process.

Complete TIPS training for responsible alcohol service, and ServSafe training for safe food service.

Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the theaters and their storage areas.

The preferred candidate will present in a professional manner reflecting the values of UF Performing Arts.

Expected Salary:

$14.00-$19.00 commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

One year experience in Event Management, Hotel, Tourism or in Restaurant Service. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, valid drivers license with clean driving history.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two - Four years experience in Event Management, Hotel, Tourism, Restaurant Service. Inventory Management, Alcohol Service. Associate's Degree and two years of progressive undergraduate coursework.
