Job Description:

Analysis/Assessment Strategy and Design:

  • Oversees the development of analytic and data reporting policies, systems, and processes to provide stakeholders with appropriate data analysis for administrators to make informed decisions concerning policies and operations. Establishes implementation strategies for assessment, accreditation, and analytics to meet goals determined by the College of Dentistry.

  • Design and develop a data collection plan that includes processes to extract, clean, and blend data from enterprise level data warehouses, external data sources, and learning/assessment systems.

  • Advise senior administrators and faculty in establishing valid and reliable evaluation plans and assessments. Designs and develops analytics for course/faculty evaluations.

  • Independently develops and completes a range of analysis and reports.

  • Contribute to the development of a culture of assessment and assessment methodologies.

Data Management:

  • Collect, clean, validate, store, and extract data.

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data.

  • Develop and maintain data management protocols and documentation.

  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners for data sharing and integration.

  • Implement automation pipelines to minimize manual data entry and enhance efficiency.

  • Recommend software upgrades or other tech solutions to improve data management and analysis processes.

  • Works across internal and external departments to extract essential data to provide relevant and impactful analysis.

  • Collaborates with Academic Health Center and University IT to extract or blend data via custom or standard API integrations when required.

  • Data management for annual Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) reporting program evaluation and institutional effectiveness (receive data, generate draft reports, enter data into Compliance Assist).

Assessment Analytics Analysis:

  • Design and develop statistical analysis via programs/software such as R, SPSS, and Excel.

  • Develop valid and reliable instruments using established psychometric methods to assess core accreditation competencies.

  • Develop statistical models to predict outcomes using traditional probabilistic and machine learning approaches.

  • Design and maintain data repositories for all assessment-related data that will facilitate assessments that are part of the programmatic evaluation plan, individual student milestone assessments, and new assessments related to programmatic innovation.

  • Develop repositories for all assessment data that generates reports related to programmatic evaluation, individual student milestone assessments, and assessments promoting innovation and improvement.

  • Independently perform statistical analyses for both predictive analysis and outcomes assessments across academic affairs, student affairs and curriculum affairs.

  • Independently receive and analyze data, and prepare reports.

  • Manage all planning so that reports are prepared on schedule.

Assessment Analytics Reporting:

  • Design and develop tabular and graphical analysis via Tableau, Tableau Server, R, SPSS, and Excel.

  • Reporting includes both traditional static reports and also interactive dashboards for stakeholders. This will include institutional level outcome measures as well as academic affairs, student affairs and curricular affairs.

Other Duties:

  • Communicate with faculty and other groups to gather assessment data, discuss assessment data and topics.

  • Presents reports to stakeholders, provide educational training opportunities on assessment tools, resources and best practices.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and education.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred in education with a focus on assessment

  • Educational background in the areas of data analysis, quantitative and qualitative statistics as well as programmatic assessment

  • Prior experience at UF including with PeopleSoft.

  • Proficiency in managing large data files

  • Proficiency in data analysis using a statistical software package such as SPSS, R, SAS

  • Proficiency in using survey software/business intelligence tools such as Qualtrics, Tableau, Salesforce, Power BI

  • Proficiency in using databases/online systems for managing and reporting assessment data

  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, identify trends and provide insights.

  • Prior experience working with confidential data.

  • Keen understanding of trends and literature pertaining to health care/health professions.
