Robert Half is partnering with an established law firm that specializes in defending public entities across California. This firm is looking for an experienced trial attorney to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation processes from the beginning to verdict to ensure optimal results for clients.

• Organize and prepare documents, evidence, and legal research for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

• Conduct thorough legal research on pertinent laws, regulations, and case precedents and prepare concise summaries and reports.

• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents to support case progress.

• Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries of their statements, and maintain communication records.

• Attend and actively participate in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and assist in informing clients about potential impacts on ongoing cases.

• Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their cases.

• Participate in meetings with clients to offer significant updates on their cases.

Compensation:

• Salary range

• Senior attorney – 200 to 225

• Associate – 140 to 175

• Annual reviews and employee raises.

• Medical covered under CA Choice, (United Healthcare, Kaiser, Anthem BlueCross). They will pay 85% of the medium plan for the employee. Dependents are not covered. Dental and vision are covered 100%. Benefits kick in 1st of the month after 30 days of hire. They also have an FSA.

• $50,000 Life insurance covered by firm

• AFLAC rates available if people want additional insurance.

• Simple IRA w/ 3% company match

• Time off is based on reasonable use.

• One full week paid off for sick time.

  Requirements

• This attorney must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in civil litigation.

• Experience in handling jury trials is required.

• Experience in insurance defense litigation is helpful.
