Job Title: 3rd Shift Production Worker I

Job Description

A manufacturing company for premium labels is seeking a Production Worker Level 1 to operate manufacturing equipment, ensure quality control, and handle rolls of material with care.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment that produces rolls of material (labels) and place them in the desired unwind position per specifications.

• Continuously check for print and seam quality.

• Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together per specifications.

• Utilize tools such as a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures.

• Handle and palletize rolls to prevent damage.

• Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system.

• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide for label counts and conversions.

• Proficiency in using simple Windows-based applications.

• Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.

• Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions.

• Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of activities.

• Physical ability to stand, move around the production area for long periods, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Printshop experience helpful but not required.

• MUST be bilingual in Spanish.

Work Environment

A manufacturing site with 150+ employees. Loud machinery requires wearing a hair net, beard net (if applicable), safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes. No jewelry allowed. Work shifts include: Day - 5AM - 1:30PM Monday-Friday, Swing - 1PM - 9:30PM Monday-Friday, Night - 9PM -5:30AM Sunday-Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.19 - $19.19/hr.
