We are looking for:

To provide professional and timely technical expertise to customers, to initiate and/or support CTD (Customer Technical Development) team to develop new application / new development / new market, and to support the promotion of the company’s products, in order to develop the business in his/her assigned domain and area.

We count on you for:

This individual will be responsible for application development activities in Japan, with main focus on the business. Specifically;

• Develop technical expertise on existing and new applications of our products in collaboration with Material Development (R&I), CTD, Marketing, Sales and other internal functions, as well as with external parties like customers or testing institutes

• Provide proactive technical consultation and subject-matter expertise in order to anticipate problems and to identify excellent technical solutions for customers and leads

• Network with industry technology managers at final users and within industry associations

• Gather intelligence information on evolving market needs and technology trends

• Identify new market opportunities with existing and new customers

• Develop and present new applications to customers and leads

• Present technologies and products at technical conferences

• Train CTD on the use and benefits of the products

• Investigate and resolve customer complaints with CTD

• Prepare and present technical presentations, articles, training, product databases and other technical literature/documentation for internal and external use

• Participate in other activities as assigned or requested

You will bring:

• Prefer Master’s degree (or higher) in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical discipline;

• 5 -10 year experience of application / product development or similar roles (e.g Tech marketing, Tech service, R&D etc.) in Automotive and/or Electrical & Electronics markets, handling engineering plastics/ fluoropolymers such as PPS, PEEK, PAI, PPA, PVDF, FKM etc.

• Experience of injection molding

• Business communication in Japanese and English: Good communication skill with global customers and colleagues (e.g. TOEIC score above 800)

• Japanese (native) and Business English
