: The Administrative Services Representative (Services Rep) is under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include accounting and administrative tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts and general clerical tasks in the daily operation of the Finance Department. This professional position also has administrative duties for utility billing, taxes, and property transfers. This position involves considerable contact with the public as this staff member serves as the primary point of contact for all customers at City Hall and on the telephone. Work hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday, in-person at the Frostburg Municipal Center. Starting rate depends on education and work experience.

: The successful applicant will have an Associate degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

At least three years of relevant accounting and administrative work experience is also preferred. The successful applicant will have the ability to perform a variety of work assignments independently in a timely manner, multi-task, demonstrate computer proficiency, and be able to follow established organizational processes. The applicant must be able to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, other City departments, and external agencies. The ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the public in person, on the telephone, and in written communication is essential. The applicant must demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity to work independently with cash and financial transactions. The applicant must maintain confidentiality of information to which the individual has access through their job duties.
