Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £11.56 per hour

Location: Garston Veterinary Group, five branches

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Option of either 40 hours per week over four days or 30 hours per week over three days. Shift patterns are variable but rota will be published 2 months in advance. Typically, this will be 8am until 6.30pm or 8.30am until 7pm with a 30-minute lunch break. 1:4 Saturdays required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Garston Veterinary Group, Somerset.

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. You will be responsible for welcoming clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and providing support to our friendly team.

This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not necessary.

Roles and responsibilities include

  • Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner

  • Managing the diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures

  • Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone

  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc

  • Processing prescription requests

  • Taking payments

  • Promoting offers and services

  • Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked
