Orthopedic Technician (Frisco Ambulatory Care)

Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical Center

Job is Monday through Friday. Available from 7:30am-5:00pm

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct casting placement and removal

• Conduct traction setup and alignment of extremities

• Assist Orthopedic Surgeons as needed in inpatient and outpatient care settings

• Take patient measurements to fit for wheelchairs

• Enter information regarding patient orders and charges into the computer system

• Maintain all needed supplies for casting

• Performs other duties as needed

  Required Skills/Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Orthopedic Technologist certification is preferred; relevant previous experience may be accepted

• Orthopedic casting experience and fracture care experience preferred

• BLS certification required
