Comerica Executive Recruiting Manager in Frisco, Texas

Executive Recruiting Manager Co-lead a recruiting vertical/function that will be responsible for all organizational needs at the executive level. Assume direct responsibility for all senior executive searches, i.e., at the BE1 level and above, as well as, thru partnership with the Head of Talent Acquisition, own the strategy for the executive recruiting function for the enterprise. Scope of Position Effectively provides Human Resources Talent Acquisition support to the enterprise: * Under minimal supervision, oversees the enterprise executive recruitment strategy and execution of said strategy. Position Responsibilities: Recruiting * In conjunction with Director of Talent Acquisition, set the broader Executive Recruiting strategy to assess and recruit qualified candidates for the firm's most senior-level positions. * Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR directors on executive recruiting needs. Help to build consensus on the job title, desired timing, key responsibilities, expected deliverables, candidate qualifications, search targets, etc. for each search. * Facilitate the timely and efficient execution of all senior executive searches by managing the scheduling of and actively participating in regular progress report meetings. Maintain a "scorecard" or scoring matrix of key selection criteria on each search to help assess, evaluate, and prioritize prospects and candidates. * Serve as a thought partner to hiring managers and search firms when a search strategy or the search specifications need to change. Propose and help evaluate creative solutions to generate new candidate flow. * Help to qualify and educate all candidates by conducting first round interviews on all senior executive searches. Prepare suggested interview guides and assign areas of assessment when requested. Schedule and attend all on site candidate interviews if possible. * Ensure successful hiring manager management including learning their unique needs and requirements, maintaining communication throughout process, presenting fully qualified candidates while managing interviews and offers. * Gather compensation requirements from candidates, assess alignment to Comerica's compensation plans early in process, and partner with HR Consultants and Compensation on creation of offers. Provide current benefit information and relocation programs (if needed) to candidates. * Conduct regular update meetings with HR Consultants to identify future needs and share information to ensure a "one-team" approach to the business units supported. Partners with others in HR (Comp, Benefits, Technology, etc) to ensure a positive and effective hiring process. Operational and Process Management * Help to select and to launch the appropriate search strategy for each executive recruiting need, considering the presence of viable internal candidates. Present and explore the full range of external and internal options including retained search, contingency search, in house execution and various hybrid strategies. * Intricate knowledge and maintenance of all MSAs with executive search firms to ensure the terms provide fair compensation and meaningful incentive in return for pricing concessions and/or volume discounts. Serve as Comerica's primary point of contact with executive search firms engaged on active searches. * Review and approve all invoicing from external search firms. Monitor and report quarterly and annually on the total spend with external search firms and the value received. Formulate and Execute the Executive Recruiting Strategy * Responsible for meeting established recruitment goals and objectives around time-to-fill, search firm spend/utilization rates, internal hiring targets, and vacancy timelines. * Ensures the utmost discretion in executing the broader hiring strategy and associated processes. * Maintains a robust rolodex/pipeline of potential future hires for Comerica's executive-level openings. * Thorough understanding of Comerica's broader long-term business strategy, and develops talent pipelines of prospective candidates, accordingly. * Maintains accurate and well-organized documentation as it relates to all executive-level search activity for Comerica Bank (for regulatory/audit purposes). * Identify new sources of potential candidates and/or innovative ways to capture new talent. * Identify new ideas/approaches to foster a more creative, efficient, and effective executive recruiting program.
