Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Automation Electrician to sit onsite in either East Texas, the Permian, or Oklahoma City area, with up to 75% travel in the general areas. This is a direct hire position, paid on an hourly basis. The Automation Electrician would ideally be a licensed electrician looking to venture into the automation world. Duties would include wiring termination of various devices in automation controllers. Field assembly/repair of various automation equipment. Electrical/mechanical and power distribution systems. Install and maintain VFDs and motors. Maintains working understanding of manufacturer guidelines for installation and maintenance of sensitive equipment. Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring

Skills and Requirements

6-8 years of experience as an licensed field electrician (Journeyman or Master electrician)

Experience with troubleshooting, circuit breakers, controls and PLC understanding (programmable logic controller) Master Electrician

Oil and Gas industry experience

Experience with automation equipment, conveyor belts, pump panels null
