Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Fresno, California. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our general ledger and supporting our overall financial, tax, and accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounts payable function to guarantee accurate and timely payments to vendors.

• Conduct research and analysis of accounting data as required.

• Participate in key initiatives such as business process redesign, cost savings initiatives, and system development projects.

• Review, analyze, and file property tax assessments.

• Oversee daily tenant rent collections.

• Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and budgets for each property.

• Prepare pro forma calculations as required.

• Review accounting processes and recommend changes as necessary.

• Maintain a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of Prepared-By-Client (PBC) schedules for year-end CPA compilation and tax return preparation.

• Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.

Requirements

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a fundamental requirement for this role.

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation skills are necessary for successful performance in this position.

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations is essential.

• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger is a key requirement.

• Proficient in creating and reviewing Journal Entries.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including the ability to generate complex financial reports.

• Experience in performing Month End Close is crucial for this role.

• Knowledge and understanding of real estate and property industry would be an advantage.

• Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Any additional certifications such as a CPA or ACCA would be considered a plus.
