What is the job about?

Grundfos is looking for a Production Scheduler for our plant in Fresno, CA.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of appropriate Production activities, ordering components to support Production activities, if needed, handling Stock Transport Orders between the Distribution Centers, as well as the improvement of all related activities and processes. They will act as the primary interface with interorganizational Partner Services personnel. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and will operate fully onsite at our Fresno, CA plant. This is a 1st shift position.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface with GPU (Grundfos Pumps Corporation) and GMU (Grundfos Pumps Manufacturing Corporation) Partner Services personnel. Respond to ATP requests in a timely manner. Identify and participate in activities to improve relations/processes with GPU and GMU Partner Services staff.

  • Ensure the validity of JIT report(s) for all JIT Production lines to meet customer and stock needs. Identify and promote new opportunities to implement the use of JIT scheduling within production operations.

  • Timely generation of Production Orders for all Production Order-driven Production lines to meet demands of MPS, MRP, and final assembly schedule. Identify and promote opportunities to optimize the scheduling process for all Production Order-driven production lines.

  • Maintain company on time goals of OTP and OTR.

  • Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of optimizing stocks to meet the stock ratio goals.

  • Schedule production activities to support customer needs.

  • Routinely work with the planner to ensure schedules are in line with planning and forecast.

  • Review and respond to messages for Stock Transport Order shipments to ensure the efficient flow of goods between the Distribution Centers. Reschedule late STO purchase orders as needed via ZMSTO.

  • Code all relevant fields within SAP for non-standard part number requests.

  • Provide timely and effective Order Fulfilment related support to customers and sales teams.

  • Manage and enter incoming orders, whether manual or electronic to ensure fast, accurate order management in line with world class customer service.

  • Assist customers with order progression & supply chain issues.

  • Proactively use SAP/BW reports to improve SAP housekeeping, customer satisfaction and our profitability

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or an Associate’s degree (with equivalent experience) and 3-5 years’ experience in a Production Control environment or in a related field such as inventory control, purchasing, and machine scheduling combined with specific training in MRP.

  • APICS CPIM certification is ideal.

  • The ability to operate daily out of the Fresno, CA facility.

  • Knowledge of closed loop manufacturing principals and MRP theory.

  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and direction.

  • Advanced understanding of JIT concepts and applications.

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.

The starting pay for this position is $24.16. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.

Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Fresno, CA.
