We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in the Agriculture industry. Based in Fresno, California, the successful candidate will be part of an efficient team, assisting in key accounting functions and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic bookkeeping duties, including processing invoices and managing expense reports

• Maintain and update financial records, including transactions and bank statements

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by auditing information and data accurately

• Prepare and deliver regular financial statements for internal and external use

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients by managing inquiries and providing regular support

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly financial closings

• Perform administrative tasks as needed such as filing, data entry, and other related tasks

• Support the finance department in carrying out the day-to-day operations and financial goals of the organization

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for this role.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services will be considered a strong advantage.

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is highly desirable.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites are required.

• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions is essential.

• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Knowledge of Billing Functions is important for this role.

• The candidate should be capable of managing Cash Activity effectively.

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are necessary.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

• The candidate should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential.

• Prior experience in the Agriculture industry will be considered an advantage.
