Great Lakes Community Action Partnership Training Technician in Fremont, Ohio
Training Technician - Ohio
Full Time - 34 hours, Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm
Pay - determined by education and experience starting at $23.23 per hour
*Summary: * * *Provide assistance to staff with their training needs (i.e. which platform to use, entering data, if necessary, etc.) and implementing the training via hosting or providing other technical support during the trainings, as needed. Work with training and support staff to ensure that their technical virtual training, in person and asynchronous needs are being fulfilled. Keep abreast of the latest technologies available in the virtual platforms that the agency is using (including, but are not limited to Zoom, Webex, iSpring and Talent LMS).
(This is a remote position.)
Education:
Required Associate degree in business, computer science, or related field.

Experience:
Three years experience assisting trainers with online virtual training platforms and working with Office 365, Outlook, or similar programs.
Additional Requirements:
- Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain up to date knowledge on the latest developments in virtual training platforms used by the department including asynchronous learning management systems.
- Provide technical assistance to program and training staff with setting up, hosting, and following up to virtual trainings. Test platform tools and functionality and assist staff in practice sessions.
- Assist states in managing training scheduled and ensuring trainers receive necessary notifications/data prior to and following scheduled presentations.
- Assist in the development of workflows to meet the training delivery needs of different groups within the department including trainers and program assistants.
- Assist in various department activities including monitoring registrations for classes to ensure there are enough participants, responding to training questions from staff and participants, helping participants with registering (if needed), coordinate and submit for course credit approval (when necessary) and maintain expiration log, and handling technical issues of staff and participants.

- Travel out-of-town with occasional overnight stays.
- May occasionally be required to work in excess of scheduled work hours per week in order to fulfill position requirements. Overtime must be pre-approved by supervisor.
