The Croghan Colonial Bank Information Systems Manager in Fremont, Ohio

Information Systems Manager - On-site (Fremont, OH):

Job Summary –

Responsible for establishing and maintaining information technology systems for the bank; including directing all IT operations to meet bank and regulatory requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. Ensures the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

Essential Job Duties –

  • Manages and oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of technological bank systems and processes.

  • Leads and develops a team of IT professionals to provide optimized service and support to the bank's IT systems, business processes and end users.

  • Evaluates IT staffing levels. Hires, trains, coaches, mentors, and reviews performance of IT employees.

  • Lead the IT department in internal and external audits and examinations. Ensure deficiencies identified in exams or audits are remediated in a timely manner.

  • Supports and motivates employees in the security, availability, integrity, confidentiality and privacy principles.

  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing systems and applications by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.

  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements.

  • Guide and advise stakeholders about disruptive technologies and trends (Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Business Intelligence and Business Analytics (BI/BA), Crypto and blockchain technologies, Fintech solutions, Cyber Security, and Data Management and Governance).

  • Champion the bank's Information Security Policy & Program and GLBA compliance, including policy, procedures, risk assessment, risk management and control decisions.

  • Perform the bank's FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment to ensure the bank's cybersecurity maturity is appropriate for the inherent risk profile. Request and coordinate resources needed to maintain and enhance maturity.

  • Ensure the bank's Incident Response Program is properly maintained and tested, ensure incidents are reported to the IT Steering Committee, and ensure relied upon Third Parties are incorporated into the program.

  • Ensure that the bank's business continuity and disaster recovery program is effectively managed and executed, confirming all critical bank processes have up to date recovery testing.

  • Complies with and maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Completes assigned compliance training essential to job function.

Requirements –

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT/IS related role

  • 5+ years of prior management experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of state and federal banking regulations, specifically FFIEC guidelines and GLBA preferred

  • Problem solving and analysis

  • Experience in managing and monitoring the performance and production of a department of 10 or more employees

  • Ability to communicate effectively, present ideas in a clear and concise manner, and translate business strategy into actionable priorities.
