Job Title: DAY SHIFT - Welder/Fabricator

Job Description

The fabricator will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and operation sheets to determine appropriate operations. The role includes completing various assembly tasks such as bending, punching, shearing, drilling, tapping, grinding, deburring, and counter boring. The fabricator will also fabricate, assemble, fit, and weld as per blueprint specifications, check material stock/availability for each job, build prototypes, and use inspection gauges such as micrometers, verniers, and combination squares. Additionally, the fabricator is responsible for reporting any malfunctions or equipment problems, adhering to all company policies and procedures with special attention to health and safety, and maintaining clean, orderly, and safe work areas at all times.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to determine appropriate operations.

• Complete assembly tasks including bending, punching, shearing, drilling, tapping, grinding, deburring, and counter boring.

• Fabricate, assemble, fit, and weld according to blueprint specifications.

• Check material stock/availability for each job.

• Build prototypes.

• Use inspection gauges such as micrometers, Vernier's, and combination squares.

• Report any malfunctions or equipment problems.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures with special attention to health and safety.

• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas at all times.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of MIG welding experience.

• 2 years of steel fabrication experience.

• Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication, MIG, TIG, fitting, and welding.

• Proficiency in using tools such as tape measures, combination squares, framing squares, needle nose pliers, and point clamps.

This is a contract-to-hire position with the company priding itself on a long-tenure culture. The majority of employees have been with the company for over 10 years. Additionally, candidates will receive an extra $100 on their paycheck for perfect attendance each month.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position from 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with work every other Saturday. Attendance is extremely important, and employees cannot miss work within the first 30 days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00
