Aerotek Fabricator in Fremont, Ohio

Job Title: Fabricator - 1st Shift - UP TO $21/HR

Job Description

The Fabricator will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and operations sheets, completing various assembly tasks, fabricating and welding according to blueprints, checking material availability, building prototypes, using inspection gauges, and maintaining a safe and orderly work area. The role requires adherence to company policies, especially health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed.

  • Complete assembly responsibilities including bending, punching, shearing, drilling, tapping, grinding, burring, and counter burring.

  • Fabricate, assemble, fit, and weld as per blueprint specifications.

  • Check materials stock and availability for each job.

  • Build prototypes.

  • Use inspection gauges such as micrometers, vernier's, and combination squares.

  • Report any malfunctions or equipment problems promptly.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with special attention to health and safety procedures.

  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas at all times.

Essential Skills

  • 2 years of MIG welding experience.

  • 2 years of steel fabrication experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG, TIG welding, and fitting.

  • Proficiency in using tools such as tape measure, combination square, framing punch, needle nose pliers, and point clamps.

Work Environment
