Job Title: IT Technician

Location: Fremont, MI

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hr.

What’s the Job?

  • Proficiency in systems operations (PC).

  • Experience with phone system administration and maintenance (Alcatel, Skype, Cisco, Teams EV, Avaya - any of these is a plus).

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.

  • Familiarity with Apple iOS (iPads).

  • Understanding of systems operations and internet/intranet related concepts.

  • Experience supporting computer hardware, software, and printers in an office and manufacturing environment.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and ensure the reliability and functionality of computer hardware, software, database, and network systems.

  • Coordinate and resolve user requests related to computer hardware and software issues.

  • Provide support for office users and systems as needed.

  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot in-house office-related computer hardware, software, and multi-media systems.

  • Support office users and systems (iPad, Onboarding) with a focus on technical troubleshooting. (70%)

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date audit records of plant hardware, including asset management. May perform purchase requests for systems-related hardware and miscellaneous IT items. (5%)

  • Provide demand-based technical support, including off-hours support per departmental rotation schedule. Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors as needed. (5%)

  • Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to enhance plant performance through improved processes and system performance. Assist with IT support on small projects. (5%)

  • Maintain knowledge of Corporate Compliance & System Standards and Guidelines, ensuring adherence to Nestle IT Compliance Guidelines and FAS requirements at the factory. (5%)

  • Maintain working knowledge of plant process controls environment to ensure hardware/software compatibility. (5%)

  • Participate in the local safety program and required factory training. (5%)

What’s Needed?

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.

  • Ability to support end users throughout a large factory/office, including mobility within the factory based on issue location.

  • Must be comfortable working in fluctuating temperatures (below 20 degrees in freezers or above 90 degrees in factory areas), with or without accommodation.
