ManpowerGroup Materials Science and Analytical Technician in Fremont, California
Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Materials Science and Analytical Technician to join their team. As a Materials Science and Analytical Technician, you will be part of the Materials Science Lab supporting the Engineering and R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with advanced instrumentation, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Materials Science and Analytical Technician
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay Range:$38.00+/hr DOE
What’s the Job?
Prepare calibration standards and samples for analysis.
Set up and maintain run logs on analytical instruments such as GCMS, AFM, SEM, and Raman spectrometers.
Operate advanced instrumentation, including scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), Raman spectrometer, and gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GCMS).
Perform materials characterization and analysis of drive media and heads to identify causes of failure.
Handle small components with precision and avoid contamination during sample preparation and analysis.
What’s Needed?
A background in chemistry, materials science, or a related field with practical lab experience.
Experience working with analytical instruments such as GCMS, AFM, SEM, and Raman spectrometers.
Ability to handle organic solvents and prepare calibration and standard solutions safely.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow research protocols and ensure accurate data collection.
Experience with trace organic analysis or materials characterization is a plus.
