We are seeking a dynamic and professional technical person, who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced, fun, and friendly environment. In this position you will be focused on technical support for Siemens EDA leading-edge Calibre products.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and execute both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities including assessment of how Siemens Calibre products meet customer needs and the preparation of product specifications for development and installation of customized applications and solutions.

  • Illustrate the value Siemens EDA solutions bring to customers by developing and delivering software demonstrations, technical presentations and performing benchmark evaluations to assist customers in their evaluations of Siemens EDA’s Calibre solutions

  • Provide on-site support when issues arise with client’s use of Siemens EDA Calibre products.

  • Work closely with area sales management, account teams and customers to understand business opportunities.

  • Drive business for Siemens EDA, using technical expertise and working directly with customers as a part of sales team at the appropriate management level to establish criteria for successful engagements.

  • Assist technical teams, including the R&D, to establish value for Siemens EDA products and differentiate from the competition.

  • Provide pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Work with marketing and product managers to define new products and provide insight from the field back to these groups.- Work with account teams and customers to understand business opportunities. Contribute to technical sales plans and communicate with peers and field technical management on progress and account status

The job will be based in Fremont, CA with as much as 25% travel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education required for the position and fields of study - Bachelor’s degree, or foreign academic equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, VLSI. Master's degree strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of required experience with IC Physical Verification using EDA tools like Siemens Calibre, Synopsys IC Validator, Cadence PVS/Pegasus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with DRC (Design Rule Checking), LVS (Layout vs. Schematic), ERC (Electrical Rule Checks), PEX (Parasitic Extraction), PERC (Programmable Electrical Rule Checking) type verification flows .

  • Experience working with advanced (7nm or smaller) process node-based physical verification checking applications.

  • Experience with PDK development using SVRF or equivalent language

  • Strong background in IC design with experience in both Analog and Digital design flows and verification.

  • A working familiarity of Unix and Linux OS Prior experience with CAD scripting and rule deck languages: SVRF/TVF, Tcl/Tk, Skill, Perl, Scheme, etc.

  • ​Expertise in distributed computing and working with grid schedulers like LSF, Altair Accelerator, slurm, etc.

  • This role requires a strong engineering background, ability to work effectively in teams, excellent analytical capabilities, and strong communication skills to describe, understand, interpret, and influence product requirements to software development teams.

  • Experience with 3DIC design and heterogenous package verification is a plus.

  • Exposure to EDA technical sales process and pre-sales environment is a plus.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
