We are looking for a Senior Multi-Craft Maintenance Supervisor to join our Petrochemicals (CP) team in Freeport, TX.

We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for the safe, quality, and cost-effective execution of maintenance work in all maintenance craft areas for a Freeport CPN Industrials operating block. In this role, you will direct the activities of BASF and contract employees while removing barriers to facilitate work execution productivity for routine and outage maintenance. You will provide expertise to support maintenance, operations, and capital project activities. Additionally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. The scope for this role is all mechanical work including fixed equipment.

Partnering with key stakeholders to develop goals for staff and execution teams which support department objectives. You will drive implementation, monitor effectiveness, and take necessary actions to meet objectives. Additionally, you will provide coaching and direction to ensure that the team successfully meets targets and track team performance for success (KPIs / Metrics).
Managing personnel items including annual goals/objectives, supportive and corrective feedback, discipline, conflict resolution, consistent enforcement of rules and policies, change management, and engaging in effective and clear communication.
Performing first line troubleshooting, repair consultation, and support for crafts. You will also participate in or lead Root Cause Analyses.
Coordinating with Operations to ensure aligned prioritization of work, proper use of SAP for work order submission, creation, and management. You will be responsible to ensure maintenance work activities are completed in the most cost-effective manner balancing the urgency of the work. You will be responsible for the monthly reporting of maintenance expenditures and forecasting the balance of the year’s maintenance budget.
Coordinating the activities of third party contractors as needed to support the daily maintenance schedule or area outages.
Leading the execution of maintenance work processes and activities and providing overall leadership and direction to crafts for the safe and effective execution of work. This includes routine, turnaround, and outage maintenance.
Ensuring the application of all safety rules, assuring BASF and Contract Maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors.
Providing daily communications, via reports, oral, and written communication, on the status of maintenance in the area, including job status information, incident/safety topics, production area information, best practices and feedback.
Driving the use of LEAN manufacturing tools, you will identify waste and drive continuous improvement to enhance the overall maintenance work process and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, you will share with other areas, communicate lessons learned, and ensure consistent use of best practices within maintenance execution.
Providing technical guidance in the absence of support staff, you will ensure compliance to weekly schedule by facilitating work execution productivity as measured by Time-on-Tools. Additionally, you will remove barriers and obstacles encountered by the execution teams to maximize productivity.
If you have...
10 years or more in maintenance experience OR 5 years of maintenance experience AND a Bachelors in Engineering.
Previous leadership experience in managing multi-discipline crews and 3rd party vendors.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple groups including operations, capital, and other 3rd party companies.
Previous SAP experience including converting work orders, prioritizing work, and executing work as well as managing purchase requistions, work cycles, and stewarding costs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
