Job Summary:

This position coordinates the shipments of outgoing products, receipts of incoming products, oversees stockroom inventory, kitting work orders, and cycle counting of inventories.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of conformance for completed products prior to shipment.

  • Adequately package products and perform appropriate system transactions to ship product.

  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups.

  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments for damage or defects.

  • Distribute incoming items to appropriate departments.

  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • Label, count, and organize materials kept in storeroom in an orderly fashion.

  • Kit work orders by pulling materials from storeroom and perform correct system transactions.

  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality on disposition of discrepant materials.

  • Controls and accurately completes periodic storeroom cycle counting processes.

  • Assist in plant wide annual cycle counting requirements.

  • Troubleshoot inventory issues to determine root cause, steps for correction, and any changes to prevent recurrence.

  • Perform other necessary tasks or assist other departments as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2-5 years of shipping, receiving, and/or stockroom experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience in ERP/MRP programs, preferably SAP.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Able and willing to lift 50 pounds and be able to spend 80% of the day on your feet.

  • Detail oriented, able to research and resolve ERP transactional issues.

  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong level of accuracy in all work performed, especially SAP transactions.

  • Demonstrated ability in navigating browsers, SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, LTL Freight a plus.

  • Dependable, positive attitude, not easily frustrated, and willingness to assist others as necessary.

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
