Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Job Description

The Lead Estimator will be responsible for collaborating closely with different branches and departments to assess projects, determine pricing, and establish other essential parameters necessary for project execution. In addition to managing their own estimating projects, the Lead Estimator will also mentor and guide temporary estimators and those in training, acting as a supervising contributor to ensure quality and accuracy in estimates. Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to ascertain the scope of work.

• Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the required estimate content.

• Prepare detailed estimates by calculating the complete scope of work take-offs.

• Maintain comprehensive files of working documents to support estimate figures, including up-to-date pricing information from suppliers.

• Identify more efficient estimating procedures and introduce cost-saving ideas through redesign or value engineering opportunities.

• Prepare breakdowns of estimates and compile reports for review with project management and leadership.

• Obtain all necessary reviews and approvals from management before finalizing bids and proposals for projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00/hr.
