Robert Half is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter based in the Freehold, New Jersey area. This role is vital in the commercial real estate industry, with a focus on processing and maintaining accurate records of customer credit applications. In this role, you will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking relevant action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer credit applications in the commercial real estate sector.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of commercial finance and commercial mortgage applications.

• Maintain detailed and precise records of customer credit information.

• Monitor the status of customer accounts regularly and take appropriate actions as required.

• Handle customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.

• Guide clients in choosing the most suitable loan options based on their financial needs.

• Ensure the efficiency and timeliness of loan processing for successful closings.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and personalized service in client interactions.

• Manage a wide network of resources, including CMBS lenders and banks.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in commercial financing and recapitalization.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Professional certification in Underwriting will be a plus.

• Proven experience as a Commercial Underwriter or similar role in the financial industry.

• Deep understanding of Commercial Finance and Commercial Mortgage is required.

• Proficiency in financial software and databases.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

• Solid understanding of lending procedures and laws.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

• Must possess strong negotiation and sales skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and have a high level of integrity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
