Veterinarian – Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation
Bluepearl (Skylos) Sports Medicine team is seeking a full-time veterinarian who is board -certified in sports medicine or a veterinarian with CCRT or CCRP certification. We are a renowned orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and rehabilitation practice with 2 locations in Maryland. The successful candidate will work with 5 surgeons who focus only on orthopedics with an equal emphasis on our sports medicine and rehabilitation practice. Our sports medicine and rehab team provide a “high touch” practice style, close client, and co-worker relationships, and a truly collaborative, learning environment to provide gold standard level of care for our patients.
We have experienced certified therapists who are skilled in manual therapies and therapeutic exercise and assistants to help our doctors and therapists. Our caseload consists of the work up and treatment of sports related/soft tissue injuries and rehabilitation following orthopedic surgery. Skylos Sports Medicine is a learning environment, and our inspiration is to further our passion to be the best in sports medicine and rehab, and helping dogs return to their love – be it running in the back yard or competing at a competition.
Skylos Sports Medicine has 2 locations in Maryland located in Ellicott City and Frederick.
The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. Additionally, you may be eligible to earn certain production as determined in accordance with company policy. BluePearl also offers additional ancillary benefits, including, but not limited to, shift differentials and weekend differentials. These ancillary benefits may fluctuate by region and/or hospital. Please discuss specific ancillary benefits with your interviewer.
Both locations have fully equipped rehabilitation facilities. Our canine gyms and dedicated rehab treatment rooms house various standard exercise equipment and an underwater treadmill. In addition, we have Cutting Edge Evo Class IV lasers, Chattanooga Therapeutic U/S, Tens/NMES, the most current Shockwave Therapy Units and digital radiography. The preferred candidate will have MSK ultrasonography experience, but we do have mobile MSK ultrasonography available if needed. We also partner with local MRI/CT facilities if those diagnostics are indicated.
Maryland is an excellent place to live with both Ellicott City and Frederick within easy distance from international airports, professional sports venues, Washington DC and the ocean. Locally, there are endless outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, equestrian life and all 4 seasons of weather.
