Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Description
Handle daily accounting tasks, including reconciliations and monthly closings. Manage financial reporting using Sage Intacct, Excel, and SQL. Oversee daily debt, cash, and investment positions. Help with regulatory and insurance filings, including sales tax. Post daily corporate payments. Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and budgets. Compile data and reports for auditors, tax accountants, and insurance companies. Identify and implement electronic efficiencies in accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Handle daily accounting tasks, including reconciliations and monthly closings.
Manage financial reporting using Sage Intacct, Excel, and SQL.

Essential Skills
BS degree in Accounting
Experience with Excel and any ERP system
Proficient in general ledger and month-end processes
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Experience with Sage Intacct and Tableau
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
5+ years of experience in accounting
Preferred experience with fixed asset accounting and local tax/sales & use
Must be a natural leader who can inspire and motivate others
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience in fast-growing companies, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Must possess honesty, integrity, and excellent communication skills
A sense of urgency, responsibility, a calm demeanor, and a collaborative spirit to work closely with the management team
Work Environment
In office Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. There is some flexibility to start or end a little earlier or later depending on the situation. There are about 8-10 accountants in the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $47.50/hr.
