We’re growing, and we have an immediate opening for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic at our Frederick, MD location. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you’ll serve central Maryland and Washington, DC, bringing your expertise directly to our customers' locations with state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment. Position Overview: As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
Performing scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) and minor repairs as identified during inspections
Completing DVIR write-ups (vehicle inspections) and addressing emergency breakdowns on-site
Making repairs to medium and heavy-duty trucks efficiently while maintaining high standards
Collaborating with the service desk to discuss vehicle issues and repair needs
Conducting routine maintenance, including oil changes, battery replacements, and lubrication
Test-driving vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure proper functionality
Staying current on warranty policies, vendor guidelines, and ensuring accurate completion of work orders
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience with diesel mechanics, preferably with medium and/or heavy-duty trucks
Must have your own hand tools
A valid driver’s license
A high school diploma or equivalent
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles
A working knowledge of computers and maintenance applications
Ability to work independently and efficiently, with excellent attention to detail
Ability to occasionally work Saturday hours as needed
