Position Summary:
The position is responsible for ensuring the timely achievement of the production plan across multiple shifts in a union or non-union environment. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring employee safety, product quality, hygiene, cost, and environmental needs are met in accordance with legal and other requirements and standards. The Production Manager will oversee several teams and drive continuous improvement, empowering people, and motivating and developing their capability. The role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to communicate the vision and mission in order to gain understanding and commitment from the team to achieve objectives. The Production Manager will also be responsible for recognizing and developing the potential of all production supervisors and team leaders, as well as proactive cooperation with other groups on site, especially the maintenance function, and within NHSc to ensure alignment with the organization. The Production Manager will model the way for others by practicing what is preached to create and maintain a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels. This position also handles escalations from hourly production associates. The Production Manager will focus on results by setting ambitious objectives and taking initiative to find ways to reach and exceed them.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured meeting prescribed standards (compliant) with quality, safety and good manufacturing practices, on time and meeting consumer expectations
• Effectively manage the Daily Operations Review, ensure exchange of information (cascade targets/escalate issues) for alignment with the objectives in the short term and Weekly Operations Review, Monthly Operations Review for medium and long term to achieve production plan and to identify and achieve performance improvements. Motivate, guide, support and coach the resources to achieve objectives and to act in accordance with Nestle guidelines
• Elaborate and execute workforce development program that will provide appropriate flexibility of workforce and assets. Focus on material availability, finished goods quality, and on time delivery through optimal resource allocation
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with Nestle guidelines. Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training
• Promote and enhance a positive labor management relationship including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement
• Lead a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture. Drive for excellence and support operators and staff in their tasks focusing on safety of people
• Ensure the timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreement with the business unit
• Any other tasks assigned by the Manager
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years food industry production, purchasing and/or packaging experience with progressive responsibility leading people. Experience in different manufacturing environments. Success leading projects in different departments and functions. Exposure to implementing continuous improvement, employee engagement, and change management.
• Work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility or switch shifts as needed.

The approximate pay range for this position is $117,000.00 to $140,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
