Dental Coding and Billing Specialist
Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong understanding of dental billing and coding? We are looking for a skilled Dental Coding and Billing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely coding of dental procedures using the CDT (Current Dental Terminology) code set.
- Preparation and submission of clean claims to insurance companies.
- Verification of patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Follow-up on outstanding claims and appeals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and industry standards.
- Assist with the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth billing processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and coding.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans and procedures.
- Proficiency in dental billing software and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
