Becton, Dickinson and Company Sr. Engineer, Molding in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey
Summary of duties: Provide molding expertise in plastic components, design for manufacturability, and scientific molding principles. Communicate, support, and execute molding activities, including tool design reviews and process development. Actively participate in New Product Development (NPD) core teams. Develop project plans and prioritize assignments to meet business goals. Train, mentor, and counsel team members in manufacturability of molded parts. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to optimize business outcomes. Collaborate with various departments to identify molding improvement and new product opportunities. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Will also accept Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Applicants must have demonstrated experience with Project management; Plastic mold design/Design for Manufacturing (DFM); Plastic injection molding processing; Solidworks packages; Mold Flow analysis; 6 Sigma; Statistical analysis packages such as Minitab; and Lean manufacturing. Position offered is a hybrid/in-office remote position.
