You work will include investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving a wide variety of controls engineering issues, including the following: Develop Digital Systems Design -- PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems. Prepare control system functional and implementation requirements and procurement specifications for carbon plant control systems. Interface with the vendors to ensure proper project execution and company'ssatisfaction. Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies to present information in a clear and concise manner to meet company's requirements. Manage resources/resource loading and develop estimates for task completionand budget development. Support the development of proposals. Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded controls solutions Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective. Interface with vendors to perform document reviews, ensure equipment compliance with specifications and needs of the plant, and witness FATperformance on behalf of the client. Support implementation of the project at the vendors facilities HMI screen upgrades as required. DCS logic / control troubleshooting.

Experience in industrial manufacturing settings with experience in plant processes highly preferred (or equivalent control complexity). System integration or consulting experience is a plus. Have built automation controls from scratch. 10 or more years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems in a project team environment for commercial, industrial applications, with a focus on integrated and detailed system design modifications. Automation expertise with strong experience in PLC programming PLC, DCS, SCADA with an emphasis on the following controls systems: Emerson Delta V Control Systems, Rockwell Allen Bradley Automation, Siemens Control Systems Experience designing, configuring, integrating, and implementing process control systems. Experience in tuning closed loop systems. Single and multi-stage cascaded loops are desired. Great soft skills, excellent verbal, and written communication Effective time management, prioritization, and follow through. Value committed with a high level of integrity. Ability to clearly communicate both in speech and written formats. Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre engineered systems to execute systems design. Experience with serving as the firm's client liaison in a support or lead engineering role. Experience in power systems and distribution of power for plant's essential power distribution and associated switchgear and MCCs. Knowledge of power systems with alternating current and voltage levelsup to 4,160 volts 3 phase.
