Certified Medical Assistant Opportunities - IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The team seeks someone eager to learn and grow within the organization. The clinic handles approximately 120-150 patients monthly, depending on walk-ins and scheduled appointments. The patient volume for this Medical Assistant will vary as they become familiar with different providers within the clinic.

Skills:

• Rooming patients

• Obtaining blood pressure

• Documenting signs/symptoms

• Taking weight and temperature

• Completing medical history documentation

• Assisting with tests (urinalyses, strep/flu/pregnancy tests)

• Scheduling tests and appointments

• Performing prior authorizations, Updating immunization records, Handling phone triage

• Performing walk-in patient duties

• Eagerness to learn and grow

• Clear communication, Courtesy, Time Management,

• Support for organizational mission and values

• An upbeat, positive, outgoing attitude and not afraid to "jump in" when needed to ensure consistent patient flow and positive interactions from patients

• Strong patient first care and experience

• Medication Reconciliation, POC testing

Qualifications:

• REQUIRED: Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification.

• REQUIRED: Successful completion of/AND graduation from a recognized medical assistant training course (or equivalent experience required).

• Experience within family practice, Internal Medicine, Pain Management, or Pediatrics

• POC testing

• Experience with Cerner (or EMR systems in general)

Work Environment

Working hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. No weekends. Easy access to parking.
