Description

AWS is the leading cloud provider, providing virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services to customers all over the world. Our customers trust us to handle their data with air-tight security measures, which is something that we guarantee.

AWS Data Center Security is seeking a highly talented Program Manager to join our team. The candidate will have the ability manage complex initiatives and deliver simplified solutions, while implementing ways to improve the flow of business via new mechanisms or deprecating no longer needed processes. You will help set the business strategy for our security team and then drive business solutions to meet these goals. This work involves successfully managing all stages of a program’s implementation from concept to delivery while working across multiple teams or organizations. You will define measurable metrics to demonstrate how our work improves the customer experience, business, or employee efficiencies and execution.

You will be responsible for staying on top of new industry developments and ensuring applicable concepts are baked into our standards to enhance AWS’s physical security stance. Topics where you may not yet be a security expert, you’ll be curious to learn and leverage those around you to deep dive the subject matter. Your proposed improvements will help us raise our performance bar while driving down waste. Your scope will lend to working across multiple layers of security and operations organizations, as well as internal and external customers, to incorporate customer feedback and business requirements.

The ideal candidate for the role is innovative, highly organized and knows how to deliver results on time and on budget. You will manage non-build projects inclusive of financial accountability and budgeting for our team. This role may involve some travel and your ability to work autonomously is essential. You are able to solve ambiguous problems, proactively identify existing or imminent security vulnerabilities, and apply mitigation strategies to reduce overall risk. You will be a leader in program management best practices helping streamline the way we think of setting up problems and executing to the right solution. You find joy assessing processes, testing program plans, and finding operational efficiencies while teaching others along the way. You’re an innovate thinker who doesn’t settle when a solution isn’t the best thing for our customers.
