UL, LLC Project Engineer (m/f/i) - Electronics Backround in Frankfurt, Germany
Within our AHL division (Appliances, HVAC and Lighting), our vision is to enable safe and high performing products to enter the global markets by applying normative requirements and standard.
We are looking to appoint profiles (m/f/i) with electronics background to join our team based in Neu-Isenburg (Frankfurt) and work on a hybrid bases (3 days on-site required).
Your tasks:
Independently determines project scope, performs product evaluataion and define samples requirements by analyzing client requests and standard´s requirements.
Operates within but no limited North America safety scheme, CB scheme and EU scheme mainly using 60730 family or standard.
Interacts with laboratory activities by preparing testing documentation and instructions to lab technicians.
Serves as Project Handler and may sign as Reviewer as assigned.
Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
Proposes development of new and/or revised UL requirements.
Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
May represent UL at industry related functions such as seminars and trade shows.
May interact with Global technical leaders for specific product categories or requirements.
May train office, field, and/or laboratory staff and entry-level engineers.
Communicates with clients to share scheduling progresses, explain UL procedures and requirements, discuss technical issues. Develops customized test methods and set ups for safety, emc and other laboratories.
Provides technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff
Your qualification:
Master/Bachelor in STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
German (min. B2)
English fluent
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service
Effective communication skills and ability to interact with german and international customers
“Plus” item for Candidates:
Electronics specialization
Experience with IEC 60730 or IEC 60335 standards or similar
Basis knowledge of laboratory equipment is considered
Coming from TIC sector
